Travel-Junkie first started out as the online travelogue of Boris Glumpler for his 2-year trip to Australia, Asia and New Zealand. In time the idea developed to turn Travel-Junkie into a multi-author travel resource to better serve the needs of travellers worldwide. Boris still acts as editor and author.
Travel-Junkie caters to the low-budget, long-term and off-the-beaten-track traveller and aims to be a valuable resource for all things backpacking. Articles on Travel-Junkie are written by experienced travellers, whose backpacks have seen every corner of the world. In fact, Marco Polo would be reading our stuff, if he’d still be alive. The people at Travel-Junkie immensely enjoy a good bit of self-mockery.
