Back in Lahore temperatures climbed to between 40 and 45 degrees. And if that wasn’t bad enough Pakistan practices electricity offloading so almost every other hour we were without any juice and therefore no fans either. The only way to deal with this was to do absolutely nothing during the day but replenish your lost fluids and get active during the evenings. Continue reading
The old city is a wonderful place to get yourself lost in. You can follow ever smaller alleys, that lead you from the ‘shopping district’ to the residential areas. In the shops that line the streets you can buy anything from spices to fabric to freshly slaughtered chicken. The shop owners are only too happy to invite you in for a quick cup of chai and a chat.
