For many trav­el­ers, little comes to mind at the men­tion of Uruguay, which is a shame, because Argentina’s pint-sized neigh­bor has some of the best trav­el­ing on the con­tin­ent. Not only is Uruguay cheaper than already-cheap Argen­tina, but it’s won­der­fully low-key, safe, gor­geous, and ami­ably warm with miles and miles of coast­line.
