Looks And Wanaka

17 May 2008

Wanaka

It’s time to leave the safety of your feed reader behind and come have a look at the new Travel-Junkie.com. I vaguely remember saying it’ll be a month before I get it ready, but I just couldn’t help it. Have a look around! It’s been tested in the latest stable releases of IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera. Saying that there are probably still a few quirks around. If you find one then drop me a note.

The picture above was taken on a quick unplanned trip to Wanaka, about an hours drive north of Queenstown. Gorgeous little place with lots of little bars…

Das neue Theme sieht einfach nur super aus! Bei den Social Bookmarks fehlt allerdings noch Mister Wong…

Lake Wanaka didn’t look that amazing when I was there last December. Beautiful, but wow, what a photo! :)

I guess it was a case of being in the right place at the right time, Dave. How’s India treating you?

Quite well, despite the high pressure rickshaw drivers and filthy street conditions. I’m spending most of my time in the northern states where those are less of an issue though - Darjeeling, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, and maybe Ladakh.

My sweep through the hotter central north sections of Bodhgaya, Varanasi, and Agra just wrapped up. If monsoon season wasn’t upon the country, I’d be drawn into traveling for longer here than I planned.

I’m very excited to be heading to Thailand soon!

Congratulations for the new design. It works well in Firefox for Linux too! (apparently its different than FF win)

Awesome photo really captures the tranquility of when it was taken. Lake Wanaka is definitely a “must see” destination after Queenstown.
