For many travelers, little comes to mind at the mention of Uruguay, which is a shame, because Argentina’s pint-sized neighbor has some of the best traveling on the continent. Not only is Uruguay cheaper than already-cheap Argentina, but it’s wonderfully low-key, safe, gorgeous, and amiably warm with miles and miles of coastline.
