In a couple days Al Gore will visit the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, to talk about the need for a visionary treaty to deal with the effects of global warming. Add your voice to Al Gores petition, which he will take with him to Bali! At the time of writing 186,072 people had signed already.

New Travel Forum
Finally managed to sort out all the forum related stuff, like making it bilingual. Been wanting to have one for ages, and lately I have received a good few emails (well, three in almost two week) from people asking for advice on travelling and diving, so I thought I might as well make that information available to everybody in the future. Don’t know if people will actually use it, but I don’t care, I like it. It’s more focused on the general stuff related to travelling, but obviously people can ask for specific country information as well. So far the only country-forums I have added are the ones I can actually say something about and I will add more as I get to travel to them. If you want to have a country added and are willing to check the forum from time to time, then send me a mail or post in the forum. As part of the whole forum setup I have activated user registration on Travel-Junkie.com, so go ahead…
A Beginner’s Guide to Travelling
I usually start the planning for a trip ages before I actually go away. I work as much as I can and save as much money up as I can, so the planning part is the only thing that keeps me sane. I work a bit over 300 hours in 2 jobs and this probably for over 6 months. But I know all this work will have an end eventually and my goal (going travelling) is keeping me motivated.
So I have a lot of time on my hands in which I can think about what to take with me, where to go first, what to do, who to meet up with, and so on.
